Summertime Views

You know, as many things as I enjoy about the summer, there are a few things that I don't like. For starters, probably at the top of the list is the unbelievably, ungodly clothes that some people go out in public in. I won't link it, because of some of the content involved, but there's a website called "People of Walmart" that has some unbelievable pictures of some of the clothes people wear outside their homes (one of my close friends recently sent me a link with some unbelievable stuff on there). Thank God, but this is just beyond my comprehension. It would not even CROSS MY MIND to go out wearing some of the things people wear outside their front door.

I was recently in the doctor's office and this girl (I won't repeat what I imagined she was), but anyway, she had what she would consider a dress on that barely covered the tops of her thighs. In addition to the little frilly "thing" she was wearing, she also had some little purple suede boots that came to the top of her ankles that were just pathetic. Where do these people come up with this stuff? Anyway, the nurse who was escorting me down the hall turned around as we passed her and looked at me with her eyes as wide as saucers.....as soon as she shut the door in the room where I was to stay, she asked me if I could believe what we'd just seen! It did my heart good to know we were on the same page. We were feeling nothing but pity for the nurse having to take care of the other girl.

It's just more than I can take sometimes. Just for the record, if anyone thinks that I want to see them like this, they are badly mistaken - and if they think that others do, again, they are sadly mistaken. Anyway, I'll be absolutely thrilled to no end when fall and winter get back around so that these people will put some clothes back on!

Anyway, after my experience at the doctor and going through all the thoughts in my head about this dreaded "requirement" of the summer, after reading this comic strip, I could definitely relate! I read it in the actual Sunday comics in the paper and laughed my head off when I saw it - cause I was feeling his pain!! lol Also, go ahead and click on the comic strip and blow it up so you can actually read it. The print is kinda small, and I don't want you to miss it! It's way funny!

I know this is a late comment but, with being gone for three weeks I just can't help it! LOL You should have seen the people get off the cruise ships there at Roatan Island. You would here the church people talk about the "Americans" and how they dress. When we did a little souvenir shopping I was so shocked to see the people walking around in what I would call barely there clothes!! It is so sad that either they don't care or they think people want to see them like that!
